Discussing the Importance of Organisational Culture with You’re Hired #JobAdviceSA 18/02

This week on #JobAdviceSA Twitter chat our special guest is You’re Hired, a new job board which will be going live on the 11th April and aims to be the most effective way to search for jobs and staff online. You can register on the website here: https://yourehired.org.za/

The topic they have chosen is one that we have not discussed in depth on #JobAdviceSA before, namely organisational culture. The culture of an organisation is integral to how satisfied you will be at work and how well you as an individual and as a team will perform. A toxic organisational culture could not only make you unhappy at work but it could also affect your physical health!

Here are the questions that we will be answering:

1)      What role does organisational culture play in  employees deciding whether they should stay on or leave a company?

2)      What are the benefits of a positive organisational culture to the people working for the company and how can those benefits affect the company’s bottom-line?

3)      How does a positive organisational culture affect an employee’s wellbeing and, in contrast, how are they affected by a negative organisational culture?

4)      Why should a job seeker conduct extensive research on a company’s organisational culture before applying for a job and what are the benefits of doing this?

Join us at 4pm to get the answers to the above questions by following the hashtag #JobAdviceSA our guests @yourehiredza as well as the @JobAdviceSA Twitter account and our host @TimJBarry

You can answer any the questions using A1, A2, A3, etc, or ask any other questions you might have, using the hashtag #JobAdviceSA.

We look forward to chatting with you later!
